ECPC Proud to Support the 2026 Manchester Road Race and Ray Crothers Blood Drive
MANCHESTER — Eastern Connecticut Pathology Consultants (ECPC) is proud to continue its support of the Manchester Road Race and the annual Ray Crothers Blood Drive, two longstanding traditions that bring the Manchester community together each Thanksgiving season.
This year marks a major milestone for the Manchester Road Race, with the 90th running of the race taking place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. in downtown Manchester.
For nearly a century, the Manchester Road Race has brought together runners, families, volunteers, spectators, and local organizations while supporting important causes throughout the community. ECPC is proud to continue supporting an event with such a longstanding connection to Manchester and the surrounding region.
Ray Crothers Blood Drive
ECPC is also proud to continue its support of the Manchester Road Race Committee’s annual Ray Crothers Blood Drive, which celebrates its 45th anniversary this year.
The blood drive will be held on Friday, November 27, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at Manchester High School, 134 East Middle Turnpike in Manchester. Everyone who donates a pint of blood will receive a Manchester Road Race T-shirt.
Last year’s blood drive set a new event record, collecting 385 pints of blood and benefiting 1,155 patients in need of blood, plasma, and platelets. Since the drive began, more than 9,000 pints of blood have been donated, making it one of Connecticut’s largest single-day blood collection efforts.
Whole blood donors who would like to participate should keep in mind the required 56-day period between donations. To be eligible for this year’s Ray Crothers Blood Drive, donors should not donate whole blood after October 2, 2026.
