ECPC, an essential healthcare provider,
remains open during the COVID-19 pandemic

At Eastern Connecticut Pathology Consultants, our team remains committed to providing the highest level of diagnostic and laboratory management services throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The safety and health of our pathologists, employees, patients, and colleagues remains our top priority.  Our pathologists and staff are up to date on the latest CDC and public agency guidelines for Covid-19 testing and safety in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.  We have also adopted a modified and rotational schedule to provide staffing redundancies in the event of any staff exposures or isolation requirements. 

Please note that many hospitals, outpatient centers, blood draw centers, and doctor offices have modified hours or visitor policies, or have temporarily closed.  It is recommended that all patients check appropriate websites and call ahead for any appointments or to arrange treatment.

ECPC will continue to provide exemplary pathology and laboratory services, including:

FOR PROVIDERS 

  • On-call: Our pathologists remain available on-call 24/7 for stat and routine specimen handling. Learn how to contact us during and after business hours at our various locations.

  • Test results: Our dedication to fast, accurate turnaround times remains unchanged.

  • Staffing: We are maintaining full staff levels at all of our hospital lab locations.

FOR PATIENTS

  • Visitor policy: No visitors are allowed with patients at any of our hospital-based outpatient labs for the safety of patients and staff. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Hospital access: Many hospitals we serve have restricted patient access at some entrances. For more information, please refer to hospital websites at each location:

  • Lab hours: Outpatient labs are closed for walk-ins without an appointment at many of the hospitals we serve. Please contact your provider directly for more information.
